A splash of autumn colour
This year's colour has arrived a little late, so I haven't managed to see the best of it. But I have seen some. Here's a taste . ..

Boy it's hot ...
I feel like I've been away from this little place for photos for soooo long! I have been very busy taking photos - that never stops really! It's just the choosing what to share and then doing it that hasn't been happening!!
I've been out and about this past week and taken LOADS of photos. Here are just a few of my favourites from West Dean Gardens.

At last! Bluebells!
At last I managed a proper bluebell walk, not just a walk with bluebells!!
This is Micheldever Woods just north of Winchester, last Saturday and well worth a visit. I don't have time to chat about it now other than to say - Wow!

A walk by the sea
The sun was shining today, so I nipped down to Weston Shore for a stroll by the water. The clouds looked so light and fluffy against the blue and the tide was gradually going out.
When it was time for me to go the sea birds were just starting to gather for lunch, ready for when the mud flats were exposed at low tide.

I love the sound of the sea birds, although the big sea gull in this clip is a bit raucous!!

Bluebells & tulips
Everything in the garden seems to be springing into life and I noticed the bluebells are out already so ran out for a quick snap. I wonder if I'll manage to get out anywhere to see them en mass this year? I keep saying I will but then don't manage it...
And lastly, here are my beautiful lilies just starting to grow. As soon as we have a dry day I must spray them against lily beetle - we don't get too many but they are a pest.
I don't remember when we planted the lilac colour ones - I much prefer the blue myself. We also have some lovely pink tulips at the moment - the bulbs were cheap from Wilkinsons but they've done really well.
